The story of Johnny Maestro and The Brooklyn Bridge is one that can be traced back to rock n roll's inception in the 1950's. As a front man for The Crests, Johnny Maestro had his first big hit with the record Sixteen Candles. Johnny then worked with the Del-Satins in the mid 60s before teaming up with members of the Rhythm Method to form The Brooklyn Bridge. With Johnny Maestro as their lead singer, The Brooklyn Bridge released its debut album in 1969, scoring a top five hit and a gold record with the Jimmy Webb composition The Worst that Could Happen. By 1972, the Brooklyn Bridge had sold over 10 million records and established Johnny Maestro as one of the premier vocal talents of the era.
